A meaningful goal needs a meaningful journey

Put your coding skills, enquiring mind and compassion to use, developing solutions for those in need in your community

This year, the Network Hackathon is pairing non-profits with each competing team. The goal: to develop effective solutions designed to meet the specific needs of members of our community. Get to know our non-profit partners and choose the one for which your team would like to develop a solution.

Will I be able to bring some of our ideas to completion?

Yes – but it depends on you. We managed to secure a significant budget to bring some of the ideas to completion assuming the demos will present substantial value to community

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I work on idea which is not related to the challenges presented by the non-profits?

Of course, any idea that is related to giving back to community is welcome.

Will there be competition?

This hackathon is more about co-operation that competition. All demos will be presented in local events in partnership with the non-profits, without voting or ranking.

Yet, we have secured a budget dedicated to developing the ideas which will bring maximum value to community – after consulting with the representatives of the non-profits.

Will there be prizes?

In this hackathon the prize is the contribution to community. We have decided to invest the budget we have towards developing the most viable solutions.

Will I have to participate at all the events?

No. You choose when and where to invest your energy and time.

Meeting with the non-profit partners will give you a chance to increase your knowledge regarding the organizations and the challenges their public faces.

The NEST and the learning events are highly recommended, but of course they are voluntary.
